Storm Juno

So who's in the path of this snow maker???

Berwil 01-25-2015 11:49 PM

I duno, I thought Juno?

If this is the clipper coming across the northeast, I'm on the cusp. Latest guess for us is 5-11" from now till Tuesday. Sounds like people between NYC and Boston are going to get hammered.

Coming up the ware!

We are expecting a few feet.

We are suppose to be on the edge of this storm system and only getting 2-4".
My feelings aren't hurt. I saw on the news this morning some ridiculous snow totals along the east coast. Weather forecasters are talking multiple feet in certain areas.

I was seeing 2-4" for Ithaca and 3-6" towards Binghamton. I was supposed to be going to Hartford Conn. tomorrow for work but the place we were going is shutting down after 1st shift today and they don't plan on opening tomorrow.

First and foremost, be safe!! But, after that, don't forget to snap some pics guys! :biggrin2: I'm anxious to see how a Cub handles the big snowfall.

I have been complaining about not getting any snow around here yet this winter, but I feel sorry for you guys in and around the New York area, They are saying that you could get as much as three feet.

Depending on how big of an area you have to clear, at 2 to 4 inches an hour (what they are calling for) by the time you get finished, it will be time to start over again.

Good luck to you guys in the path of this storm, I hope you all have fun out there but be careful.

I wish I had some pics from the storm we got about 6yrs ago, we got 4' of snow with drifts as tall as my house. After climbing out a bedroom window cause I couldn't open the doors I had to shovel a path from the shed to the road just to get the cub out, it took about 6 hours of picking away at it to get it cleaned up decent. When I was done a neighbor came and asked if I could help them and I told them I would as long as they had gas because I used up all mine, it took another 4 hours to do there driveway and by the time it was done I was running 2 stroke gas since it was all either of us had left. The cub I had at the time was a 100 with a plow and about 300lbs of weight in the rear, thankfully it had spring assist.

So far we have 4 - 5 inches from the clipper. I do recall one winter we had 4-5 ft drifts and Eric and I with my 102 and single stage blower cleared out nearly everyones driveway. One of us would stand on top of the drift with a snow shovel and push it down and the 102 could blow it out. Was a lot of work but got the job done. We now have a 2084 with a 451 blower and a 2086 and a 551 blower that will take on just about any snow that can come our way.
