My friends 1947 Cub
A museum piece, driving it was a thrill. Only thing left is a powder coat the exhaust header. My friend went OVERBOARD with this one. Every nut, bolt, whatever is BRAND NEW.
In showing me the birth certificate & history it was born in JUN/JUL- 1947 & the last of its kind., IH then went to LOW BOY. ENJOY Nik, http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...psngumuyat.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...psu1gcasi6.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...pse3mvbpht.jpg |
That looks an awful lot like my dad's restored 1947 Cub...what has your friend been up to!?! :biggrin2:
Nice pics, thanks for sharing :beerchug: |
Very nice! I really miss mine every time I see a pic of one. Isn't powder coat on the exhaust header going to make a mess if you run it:bigthink:

Very nice tractor Nik!
I think you may have got some of you info mixed up though..... the Farmall Cub was born in 1947.... it can't be the last of it's kind.... it must be the first. Production started in '47 with SN# 501. The Lo-Boy came out in '55. :beerchug: |
My dad bought one like that when I was a baby. Last I saw it, was when I was 16. Don't know what happen to it. Sure would like to have it now!
