What Lew said

In another thread Lew asked someone about "the little eyebrow decals on the hood indents" on a wide frame and I didn't want to derail that thread.

Can someone tell me what these represent?

I think it makes it go faster, more air passing over the hood aerodynamics take over from there.
Have you seen these Yosemite Sam?

Yosemite Sam 02-03-2015 09:37 PM

I bought a beat up old pos 108 a number of years ago that had them, I used the tractor for parts and sold what I didn't want/need, but I still have the hood.

I know, I know, without pictures...

They look like the headlight decal, only smaller.

That's cool Dwayne. My Updike book has them on a stickered 147 that's not a 147 at all, it's a wide frame, that also has a yellow deck roller. I like seeing that stuff, weird

That 86 is missing the lift handle! Matter of fact it kinda looks like it has the hydraulic lift triangle there.

Does that mean that the hoods have been repainted on ALL of my Wide Frames?

_DX3_ 02-03-2015 10:32 PM

No. I don't think many of the little eyebrow decals ever made it to the hood. I have never seen any outside of pictures. My 128 had never been painted and didn't have them on it.

I still can't tell if you guys are kidding about those decals.

I'm going to get some and with the increased downforce I won't have to use the hood latches

Terry
