Now I Know How You Guys Feel
4 Attachment(s)
After quite a bit of work, I finally got the 1864 I rescued out of my sister-n-laws barn presentable. Now I know the pride you guys feel when you bring one back to life.
I was (and still am for that matter) trying to meet a timeframe with this machine because she will be seeing quite a bit of work this spring. The mower deck is still a mess, and I'll start a new thread with that as I've got a few questions. For now, here's a few pics of my 1864. 1 I'm happy with it... hope you guys are as well. Above all thanks for the advice I received when I started this project!! |
Looks nice JTW.

Looks great! Yeah, there's defiantly a sense of pride when you resurect a cub from the dead or restore or rebuild one! That's how I felt when I rebuilt the k301 in my 1200. I have my 38c deck that needs blades, but I'm holding off. My 1211 is getting the summer off! It's gonna become a 1282! I'll mow with the 1200 I rebuil the engine in and the fenced in yard with the husqvarna. My 1200 won't fit in the gate.

I too recently became addicted to Cubs. Grandsons needed the 1641, and I needed more work.
What's retirement 'posed to be? No rest with these boys! Nice looking Cub you got there. Been a Kohler fan for many, many years. Be sure to post updates. |
That is a great looking machine and you will get lots of looks when working with it. Like where did he get that new Cub?:)
Congratulations on a job well done. Thanks for posting the pictures. Regards, Chris |
That is a sweet looking 1864. I see it even has a cat 0 three point on it. :beerchug:
