Obligatory Pictures of the 2182
3 Attachment(s)
About a month ago I was having breakfast with an old car buddy and we were talking about our projects. I mentioned I was going to refurbish my CC122 and he said he had a CC that I may be interested in. It quit on him in the middle of mowing, no spark, and he used that as an excuse to buy a zero turn. Long story, we agreed that I would take the 2182. The weather and ground cooperated enough that I got over and picked it up today. It is all and more than I had figured. 622 hours showing on the clock, hydraulics, engine, coolant all look like new. No signs of major wear anywhere. The 5' deck is solid, not pretty but has new spindles, blades and deck belt.
So now the fun begins. The 122 will wait a while longer. |

You suck. Just kidding. Man you hit a home run. You got one of the best of the last. :beerchug: |
Nice 2182,all you need to do is find out why it died.

Nice score. My son wants one so bad! I can't find any by me.
Again congrats. Terry |
Newbie here but, I can tell a good deal when I "see" it.
Nice Cub and be sure to update the forum when you resurrect the dead tractor. We need to know what, why and how. Hey, I'm gettin' an education here! :beerchug: |

Looked at your pics a second time, I see a couple things wrong with the tractor not bad just not what it should be. Nothing to be concerned about and in one case in my opinion better than what it should have had from the factory. Holler if you want more info. Sam |

No big deal and all in all probably better for you. The deck that's on it is the earlier version of the Haban. someone painted it yellow. The deck that your tractor would have come with had the wheels that could be turned to the side to make it easier to get the deck under the tractor. Personally I prefer the deck like yours the wheels being ridged mounted give you less trouble. Pics are of 2 of the late style decks. I see that the side panel is off it, did you get it with the tractor? |
Thanks for identifying the early deck. I am assuming you call the side panels what I call a belt cover? NO, I did not get them with the tractor but I did ask about them.
So far as ease of getting the deck out, I will just lift the Cub with a big strong green tractor with a FEL:biggrin2: What else, Sam?:bigthink: I can assure you I will have questions. |
No the side panel I'm referring to is the one for the right side of the engine. Hope you got it.
