Got the yard fertilized today. The local farmer that cuts the hay on my property spread some pelletized chicken poop on the field today and he also did the area that I've been trying to get grass to grow on behind the house for me. Good thing we have a strong breeze here today. Took a ride with him in the truck, now I'm headed to the shower. :biggrin2:

That aught to give you lots of seat time. :biggrin2:

I'm hoping my lawn dries out enough so I can get a pickup load of alpaca manure on my garden before I till. No way I could have that truck on it......ever! LoL :beerchug:

The spreader truck was pretty cool, thing even has GPS to tell the driver if he is over lapping the spreading. The driver can adjust the pounds per acre from the cab. Neat setup. He doubled up the rate behind the house for the hard to get anything to grow area at my request. I'll keep you guys posted on how it works out. :beerchug:

You know you've made it when not only is your yard is so big you have to have a fertilizer truck to fertilize it but it has to have GPS so it doesn't overlap! :biggrin2:

So this one doesn't have GPS? That's a cool set up on the spreader truck! I'd guess most modern commercial spreader and sprayer equipment may be set up similar nowadays? I wish they had GPS on tractors 30 years ago when I was driving an old 806 pulling the white fertilizer buggy from FS lol. I was 10 years old and trying no to overlap or leave a gap.

This may go bad, some of the pellets ended up on the driveway. Well now it's raining and they are expanding into poop. I can just see this getting tracked into the garage. May end up being a poopy experience. :biggrin2:

I have the ultimate lawn fertilizer program. My labs poop in the yard all winter and it just freezes in the snow, when spring comes it thaws out and the rain washes it into the ground. It works good but the lawn is a dangerous place to be between the thaw and the rain.:biggrin2:
