Carburetor options on a KT17 Series II
Hey guys,
I have one of those Walbro carburetors on my 1711 with a series II KT17. The carburetor actually has a groove worn into the non-replaceable seat area, and does not allow the needle to seal properly. I have heard that a #26 Kohler/Carter will work on these engines. Has anyone ever put one on? Or is there some other carburetor I should be looking for? I remember reading that a #30 was jetted too large |
There were adjustable carbs offered for the KT's. Walbro made one and so did Kohler/Carter. Yes, a #26 will work just fine, and is the most available choice. You will have to change the throttle shaft, and maybe the choke shaft also, I can't remember.
