How much weight for plowing?
 

I'm planning to go to my first plow day next weekend and I'm not sure how much weight I need. I currently have brand new Carlisle tru powers loaded with washer fluid and no wheel weights, will that be enough to get me by? I won't have the time or extra money this week to round up any weights so if I don't have enough I guess I'll just make different plans.

I use 3 sets of wheel weights and ags, no problem, see you next week.

What size are the loaded tires?

Doh! I didn't realize he had NO wheel weights. I though he meant he didn't have many, like as in more than one set.

You'll be fine. Loaded tires should be all you need. I've plowed on 6-12's with 75lbs of weight. So, loaded 8.50 should be equal.

Use the moveable weight in the seat or over the left fender as seen in this one pic, this other show a kid plowing with turfs - it all works some better than others. My 122 has loaded Firestone AGs and a dual mostly hanging on the left side, it has way more traction than needed most of the time.

You'll be fine with the loaded AGs. Have fun!

Thanks for the info. Now for my next question, the brinly plow I barrowed from my grandfather seems to be missing all the parts for the Coulter wheel and I'm not sure if that's a big deal?
