What do diesel Cubs sell for?

Title says it all, what do the diesel cubs in good shape sell for? Like a 2182 for example?

2182 is a gas engine, at least the 2 I own run on gas. Maybe I'm putting the wrong stuff into the tank. :bigthink: :biggrin2: :beerchug:

As of late, they sell for as much as someone is willing to pay.
Which in my opinion can be as much as twice what they are worth.

They are kinda all over the place. I've missed a few under $500 that needed work but I would say a good running machine would be $1k to $2k depending on what it is and more if it's a super with all the goodies.

I'm a noob so I know very little about model numbers and go based on mainly what I see, and when I saw these two with Kubota 3 cylinder engines I thought they were diesel engines. If you look at the side panel near the muffler on one of them it's black like a diesel may do lol. The farm I worked at as a kid had a small Kubota tractor they used as a lawn mower and it had a 3 cylinder diesel.

Yes, way more than I'm willing to spend for sure.

The 2182 use's the 3 cylinder gas engine. It's looks like a D600 diesel except that it has a carb and a distributor. Side by side with the hood closed you can't tell the difference between a 1782 and a 2182 without the decals. Price on that one is a little high and it's an early production machine. As far as price goes to me it's all about condition and location. Here is a pic of a 2182 and a 1782 sitting side by side.

Hmm, deceptively similar in appearance :bigthink: That's a fine looking pair of Cubs in your pic, seems like I've seen that pic somewhere before lol :biggrin2::beerchug: Cubs seem to sell high around here.

Here is the pic with a black spot on the hood near the muffler which led me to believe it was a diesel.
