Where to buy shims?
Hey guys
I'm at the point of fixing my hydrostat that I need the metal shim washers that are recommended to go on the trunnion shaft but I cannot find them ANYWHERE (outside of going online of course) I've tried auto parts stores, a local nut/bolt store, ACE hardware and haven't returned any results other than Grainger, where they didn't have any in stock, so I'd be just as well ordering online. I'd like to avoid shipping and just go get them. Where the heck does a guy buy these sort of things? I'm also wondering how hard it'd be just to make it out of tin. |
McMaster-Carr might have them-I didn't want to dig through the huge catalog and just bought some from Charlie, he had a INTERNATIONAL tiller decal too.
I carry shims in various diameters at my store, but all .032 thick. |
I found a place today that carries them. Fastenal. Can't believe I've never been in there for how close it is.
Thanks admin may delete thread if you wish. |
I just did a search around town for them yesterday and had no luck as well, not a very big town though. Ended up ordering them through Fastenal, Fastenal part number is 7041848

Got mine from McMaster Carr. Granger didn't have them in stock either.
