Top 3 Cubs?

Sorry, no Supers or diesels, but just wondering what you would consider to be the top 3 Cubs to buy based on strength of drive train, dependability of engine, availability of parts, and overall usefulness and versatility including the use of ground engaging equipment. Explanation of your choices is certainly welcome to help educate me.

I do love my 1450 too.

Pretty much anything 1996 or older with a drive shaft. I like 82 series and the Cyclops series stuff. I also like the hydro drive train. Just my preference.

Any manual trans IH Cub Cadet starting with the 70-100 thru the wide frame models.

149, while I like the 169 allot the 14hp engine is one of my favorite, has less vibration for actual use , 782/ 1812 if it had the series 2 or better in it, 169 I still like horse power.

I dislike the engine mount system in the QL models and when they changed to plastic hoods , can't stand NF hydros to work on, gear drives are my favorite but the hydro models are nice for yard work

Yes the diesel is nice, but out of this poor boy's financial capacity lmao.

You mentioned power steering, what is the physical (mechanical?) difference between manual and power steering? Does manual steering have any type of hydraulic lines or is it just Armstrong power? What does my 1541 have? Seems like I've seen hoses running up there, but I'm not sure. It steers easy either way.
