Cub Cadet fest !???????

As some of you may know fans of the FARMALL and IH CUB have informal gatherings across the USA known as a "CUBFEST". At those "CUBFEST" fans sometimes haul in their tractors where they learn about them and most importantly; how to work on them. Wouldn't it be great if we could have a "CUB CADET FEST" where we could do the same. Some of us lack the skills or knowledge on trouble shooting our garden tractors and it would be great to learn from other experts.
What do you think ? I wish I could host one, but I lack the space it would take.

That would be pretty sweet!

The CubFest are great fun, interesting, sell and trade, work, eat and mainly visit with old friends and make new ones. It don't take a big crowd to enjoy. Get 15 to 20 together, plan it on a weekend and try it.

Cub Fests are GREAT! I attend at least 4 every year, wonderful people with a wealth of knowledge willing to help each other out. There are usually people there who have talents in different areas and have special tools they are willing to share. They are also a hub for buying and selling parts and “Cub Express” deliveries (helping members move things). Some have plowing and some have pulls incorporated in the event. Over the last 5 or so years I have been attending, probably at over half, there have been people show up with Cubs that have not run in years and I think most were driven on the trailer when they left.

I have a couple of Cub “big” brothers (’51 F Cub & ’55 LoBoy) I bring, but have been tinkering with some early Cub Cadets at the Fests as well, hey; they are IH I tell them!

I am sure SGragg will chime in…. he recently wrote a great article for Red Power magazine on Cub Fests.

Not sure if this is allowed, but a couple links with a little more info…

When I get things settled at our new place I am going to try to put one on… they say, if you build it, they will come!

I have about an acre and half that needs fill, everytime it rains my lawn turns to lake, if i could get a couple thousand 10 wheeler loads i would have a leveling party!!! Been after my town and the state to bring me all the ditch cleanings so we'll see what happens.:biggrin2::biggrin2:

I wish I knew of something like that in the Upper Midwest. I think it would be great fun.

sounds fun, I might try to find one and attend

All it takes for a CubFest to happen is someone willing to host it and put out the invitation. If they have a garage or shop and someplace for people to park, it doesn't matter if you only have 3 people show up--it's a good time.

Time can be spent working on and repairing garden tractors, just encourage attendees to bring their Cub Cadets and join in. Even if the Cubs don't get completely fixed, the repair can be inspected and diagnosed so the owner can return home, order the part and finish the work.

It's a win win for Cub lovers.

Thanks for the links. I plan to go to Redpower roundup this year and forgot to put on my calendar. Very close to me and should be a blast. As for Cubfest, I would be in for one, but like most I suspect it is hard to travel very far which really limits the gathering. Though I can see where a group of 15-20 could be enough for a great time. If I had the space and buildings...
