149 Hydraulics not working
 

Hey guys I got one and I am not sure what is going on. Two nites ago I was pushing dirt back into the hole as we had the septic tank cleaned out and I was making the last pass and the tractor just stopped moving. After looking I discovered that the front pin in the drive shaft sheared off. To get it back to the shop I put a 1/4" bolt in the shaft and off we went and all was well till I noticed that I couldn't raise or lower the blade. I pulled it back out and went over everything and I figured there was something jammed in someplace but I found nothing. There are no leaks and everything that I looked at seems ok. Normally after setting a little bit the blade will drift down on its own but I checked again this morning and it is still raised up. I am stumped !!!!!:bash2:

Check the Spirol Pin at the Hydrostat Unit's input shaft. Is the input shaft (to hydrostat unit) spinning at the same speed as the drive-shaft...???

I will double check that this evening, but I am pretty sure that it is. Is that a 1/4" pin??? Edit - if I am looking at the right one in the drawing it says it is 1/4" x 1 1/2"

YUP.....Sounds right.

Ok thanks Roland...I had another thought too could it possible be that I sheared the rockshaft pins off cause now that I think of it the arm on the side of the tractor where the lift arm for the blade attaches isn't moving either? I will know more when I perform surgery later!!! OMG!

YUP....check that too.

Does the tractor still move under it's own power?

Yes after I put the temporary bolt in the driveshaft at the front (Jeff is making me a new one) it goes just fine. Funny part is when I first fired it back up everything was fine and within 5 minutes it just quit.

The engine quit or it stopped moving?

No the engine was running fine...I was pushing dirt to cover the septic back up and the last little bit of dirt needed pushed in and that is when it stopped moving but the engine was running fine. The pin on the front of the drive shaft broke. And like I said I temporarily stuck a 1/4" bolt in so as to get it back in the shop and that is when the hydraulics quit on me.
