Met a couple of members

I have spoken with JMech a number of times and wanted him to rebuild a cub engine so I met both him and Spudder in Casey Illinois. I thoroughly enjoyed the meet up with both of them. Just as I suspected with Cub Cadets as a mutual interest it was like meeting friends. Was disappointed that the restaurant stop didn't work out but maybe on the return trip that will happen too.

Me too Paul.

Paul,
It was good meeting up with you too! Amazing the way that somehow so many of us members meet up one way or another even though we live so far apart. The hobby brings us together! I'm assuming you made it home after your trip. Congrats on the turkey! :beerchug:

I met "Big Lefty" today and did a quick welding repair to some heat shields on his 782.

Turns out we know quite a few of the same people. I went to school with his wife and he knows my wife.

Nice to meet you Rusty :beerchug:

Paul, It was great meeting you and your wife here in Casey. I really enjoyed our time together.
Please make it a point to stop by on your return trip. Just make sure it isn't on a Sunday afternoon! Hopefully the restaurant will be open and you can try one of their two inch thick pork chops.
Funny how this old yellow and white iron works as a bond to bring people together. Ultimately, that's what it's all about, the friendships that are made through sharing a common interest.
Paul, be safe and thanks for the kind words.
Tim

Sorry about not getting touch for a meet up on our return trip back to PA this time. Had to hurry home to find out the dr appointment I had was cancelled. I make this trip twice a year so there will be other times for another meet up. Besides in Sept I will have to stop for the engine again but most likely will be late Sept when that happens. Will be in touch nearer the time.
