Oil lines on an 1812
I have an 1812 with the mag 18 in it . the lines going to the auxillary oil filter are seeping a bit of oil, just enough to make it greasy around the oil filter housing and then the side panel. The lines are tight, just seems like its seeping thru the line? Is this common on these tractors? Or do I need to replace.

The heat of the oil over time, has made in internal material of the hose brittle and created "hairline" cracks. Sooner or later, you will end up replacing those hoses.

thank you, is there another source other than cub cadet for those, they are like $150 for both hoses...

I redone those lines on a M-20 for a friend. There is <60 PSI on the oil system. We used NAPA #NBM-H312 Fuel Injector Hose (.3125 or 5/16" or 8mm ID) rated for 225 PSI. It is a Multi-Fuel rated hose. Locally it is <$2.50 per foot.
Double clamped each end...........whala........fixed and no problems. |
thanks much

My local implement dealership is going to make up the hoses for me . I need to remove the old ones to use as a template.
