What is this?
So I recently bought a 129 and had my first repair, the lights didn't work and the switch was bad so I got a toggle from Lowes and installed it, working lights now, was fun working on the Cub for the first time...
Actually I have two questions, I bought a Blade that was supposed to be for a 129 and it does not seem to be, and anyone identify what this blade is for... Second question is what is this bar on the back of the tractor and there is an electrical hook up as well.. Any guesses as to what the previous owner was using this for? Thanks for any help, Phil. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/yarr...tml?sort=3&o=4 http://smg.photobucket.com/user/yarr...tml?sort=3&o=6 http://smg.photobucket.com/user/yarr...tml?sort=3&o=6 http://smg.photobucket.com/user/yarr...tml?sort=3&o=1 |
The first three pictures are of a Push Blade for a Narrow Frame tractor.
The last picture is a home made bracket for something. |

The last picture is of a bracket for a Peco Leaf Vac system that allowed the Narrow Frame (NF) cub cadets (mostly 1960's cubs) to utilize the Peco Leaf Vac unit, which was made in the 1970's on them.

What about the electrical plug, was that for the vac as well?

It's a trailer wiring harness, but that doesn't mean it was used for a trailer. Could have been used for anything that the PO wanted to plug into it. Lights, engine controls for the motor on the PECO, a sprayer....... anything. Is it important?? If you don't want it on the tractor, take it off.
If you do't have the PECO, I'd suggest removing the bracket and selling it. Many times people who buy them are missing that mount for that reason right there. It's not a gold mine, but it may help a fellow collector. |
One of those brackets sold for 28 bucks on ePay last week. There was one on my 129 whenI got it.
