Only Cub Cadets - New Member---Oklahoma

Hey guys, First off I would like to thank the mods for approving my membership here. I tried to join a different cub site but the registration process was ungodly. I must have erred as I was denied. I then looked at the comments there among members and was glad I was not accepted.
This place is like night and day from that. Lots more friendly. easy to register and people more helpful instead of wise acres telling you go go get a manual or other smart comment.

Im a proud owner of a 1282 that is kinda in process of turning into a 782 type with the hydraulics and later I would like to custom fab a three pt and turning brakes like a baby Super of sorts. It just perfect and has all the things I liked except a 2 piece carrier in one package (not out yet). I get to that later.

I had a 1450 at one time but it was just to worn down from PO.

I also have one of those other color tractors a jd108 I ground up restored. What an aggravating POS. Hard to work on stupidly designed and over engineered. After working on that thing I find the Cubs so much more well designed. Looking for a victim Deere Head to pawn it off and get hopefully another red cub. I simply love those QL tractors

I also have a John Deere 2250 full size tractor-- same impression not near as tough as it should be and the controls are goofy. I grew up on a 7000 acre cattle ranch running Super M Farmall's for cutting and raking and plowing and baling with a pair of IH 806 Turbos. Now that was a one tough sum buck Tractor. Man those things would Roll some Coal pulling 7/8 bottoms and could have probably pulled a couple of Jd 4040s (period supposed Equiv) to boot.

I guess what I'm saying is "If it ain't Red leave it in the Shed"
The death of IH is truly an American tragedy for me, as I always fell they were built light years better than all the rest and simpler to work on.
