Aviation gas??

I have a K241 10HP motor on CC 126 that my grandson is using for pulling. I'm thinking of using aviation gas in the place of high octane pump gas. Any thoughts or comments on this would be appreciated.

Waste of money. 87 octane is all you need. If you can find it in your are Rec fuel is great. It does not contain ethanol.

What mods are done to the engine????

87 octane fuel with ethanol is a good fuel if you practice good fuel storage habits.

Head shaved .030, low rpm/high torque cam, bored out carb.

you'll probably find out the bored carb hurts the torque. av gas was popular 50 - 60 years ago when the options for octane was very limited and the understanding of octane was not fully understood. We used it back in the late 70's. there's no reason to mess with it these days when there are so many options to use. 87 octane is all you really need. you don't have that much done to it and your c/r is still pretty low
