This could be trouble...
4 Attachment(s)
Recently joined after having charging issues with my 1641. Based on info from OCC i bought an aftermarket voltage regulator and she's happy again.
Bought my 1641 new in 1994 with a 46" deck, 54" front blade and front hydraulic kit. She currently has less than 400 hrs and most those were spent pushing snow. Health issues prevent me from spending a lot of time outdoors in the cold so I now have a truck with a plow. The ole cub still cuts the grass does do some occasional grading. Seeing some of the old iron here makes me want to go find a project or three! |
That's a very clean well taken care of 1641! Yeah looking around on here can open a can of worms! Lol I have a spare 14 hp k series on the bench resting. Sometimes I get to thinking about finding another tractor.

She's been good to me. I just replaced the front sneakers on her Friday... weird that the original tires only lasted 21 years! ;) Need to do the rears next... leaning towards a set of lugs for a little extra traction on my hills. Haven't had any significant trouble with her other than the charging issue. Always dependable and ready to go. My only regret is not getting the bigger (and much better) deck for it. Maybe a used one will cross my path? |
Not could be trouble, it is trouble.:biggrin2:
You got a clean machine there. |
Sweet looking 1641! Where in CT are you? I used to live in Watertown. :beerchug:

Super off topic but I spent many a week in Watertown at Haestad Methods for water distribution modeling training. That had to be the best damn company in the world. The breakroom had a pool table, arcade, and a kegorator.. :beer2: end :OffTopic: |

Nice tractor you got there. I'm sure you'll find yourself another project soon, lots of Cubs come up for sale in CT. I got my last one right over the line near Nantasket.

Ordered a set of Deestone 23x10.50-12 lugs for the rear. That'll be tomorrows project. Hopefully they go a little easier than the fronts did last week. Quote:
I will say that after reading here over the past week or so, I'd really like to find a decent SGT to play with. |
