Lead in Paint

As a member who has learned much from the OCC brethren here and cares, I thought that I'd pass this along. (no, I don't work for the Federal Government)

According to the Paint & Coatings Industry, automotive type paints prior to 1990 contained lead. When sanding (particularly when using a machine), use appropriate masks, etc. so as not to inhale/ingest the lead in the dust to avoid poisoning.

I'm beginning to strip down a 44A for my 1811 and I'm out of masks!

You worry too much.

Progress looks like it is on it's way!
