190-451-100 Snow blower

Any chance this will work on my 682? The snow blower # is 190-451-100.

I think you need the 450 not the 451.

Any idea on what I would have to change to make this work on a 682? I've read that all u have to do is switch to a 6" pulley but that seems to easy.

I've been down this road trying to put a 451 blower on an early 2082 with the smaller (4.5") PTO. The only difference between the 450 and a 451 is the gearbox ratio (and maybe the color). Maintaining the correct speed of the blower is critical to the correct operation. Getting it to run at the correct speed can be addressed in two ways, swapping the gearbox or changing the PTO to one with a 6" pulley. Either way is easy but neither is cheap. I ended up swapping the gearbox because I couldn't find a 6" PTO with the correct shaft size to fit the 2082, you may have better luck with the 682. Remember that changing the PTO size will effect the speed of everything else that it runs, like the mower deck. I was lucky and found a 450 gearbox but I haven't seen one for sale since. If you can hold out for the correct blower for the tractor. The 450-451 blowers are really heavy for a tractor without hydraulic lift or power steering, hope you have a spring assist or real strong arms!

Thanks for the info. Looks like I should hold out till I find a 36" blower.
