Can anyone tell me the shaft dimensions and key way size I am not where the tractor is garaged and have chance to pick up a Magnum engine NOS and want to know the measurements and if this motor will work on my 782 gas engine

A Cub Cadet "spec'd" M-18 or M-20, will be a "drop in" replacement for the KT-17. There is only a minor electrical modification that needs to be done.

This motor is not cub cadet spec ed that is the concern

IIRR the pto end of the shaft is 1-1/8 for CC.

If it is any help, the Kohler Magnum M18S on my 782 is Spec 24506.
