Freeport Tractor/Threshing Show Pics & Video

Made a trip to Freeport, IL today for the 46th annual Tractor and Threshing Show and thought I'd share some pics and a few videos of the tractor pull action. Hope y'all enjoy!

First up are a few random shots of attractions from around the show in no particular order. FYI the Cubs pictured below are all owned by a local member jboelens and a friend of his. Compliments on the nice machines, jboelens!

Next up is a couple pictures and a bit of information on an old engine that has been around quite a while. I'll let the images do the talking. I was told that the engine was installed in a 3 foot thick slab of concrete. When the saw mill (more on that later) was originally set up, the plan was to turn it around and let this engine power it. Plans to do that were scrapped because the engine produces so much power/vibration that the engine would have picked up it's concrete foundation and shook it apart. Impressive to say the least!

The next couple pics and accompanying video are of the saw mill and the steam engine that happened to be powering it.

Next couple pics are of some of the feature tractors of the year, International Harvester. I didn't get nearly enough pics of them as there were too many nice machines to stop and take pics of them all. I just snapped a few as we made our way around.

Great pics Ryan, thanks for sharing! That blue M-TA looks like something member Ford4150 would have done. :biggrin2: :biggrin2:

Thanks for the compliments Ryan. It's always hard trying to decide what to bring to a show, and how many trips are necessary!
