Check Valve?

I just changed the Hytran in the rear of my 982. Check valves have been dry until now. I've been installing the rear pto and 3 point, and while I was running the engine and testing the lift going up and down, I noticed that the check valve on the left side (facing forward) was leaking thru the hole in the center. Any ideas why would it be leaking now?

:bigthink:
Possibly by changing the oil in the rear end and cleaning up the sludge in there....some is still floating around and got stuck in the check valve?? Or it just so happens its life span finally came to a dirty end....just so happens to be now??

I did a little more internet research yesterday, and figured out how these things worked. I think the small interior o-ring was hung up, so I pulled out the valve cleaned it and blew it out with air. No leaks after I replaced it, so I'm good.....for now!
