Snow thrower pulley problems
 

The qa36 I picked up keeps throwing the key and the Pulley spins. I thought it needed a new shaft because I have to grind down the 3/16" key to get it fit, but diameter still mikes out to .749 inches.

Blower came with an undersized pulley. It's way oversized for the shaft and has a tapered hole. I spent $50 on an oem pulley and that thing wobbles too and throws the key. Help!

If I flip the shaft around where its pristine, the pulley hole is still too big.

My QA42a has the same type of pulley that yours came with, except mine came with the center hub. The center hub has a corresponding tapered center section and is designed to clamp down on the shaft. There are four bolt holes on the center section of the hub and should be two female threaded holes on your pulley. Don't know about the OEM pulley.

I can fix the OEM with a sleeve and custom key for $50 shipped back to you.
