Hi everyone,
I joined this site several months ago when I purchased an 1811 that I was going to give my daughter when she purchased a new home. After using it for a short time I decided that she could have the lt1050 I have and I would keep the 1811. I purchased the 1811 for $800 which I thought was fair for its condition, and so far its been great. A few months after I bought it I was working at someone's home and noticed an old cub sitting in the field. Asked the homeowner about it, and he said he had it out by the road the year before for $200 but no one was interested. So I asked if he still wanted to get rid of it and he told me, give me $50 for it and its yours. Its a 1450 with a 50" deck and tiller that starts right up and runs fine, so I am thinking about rebuilding it this winter. Last week I saw an add for a 1811 on craigslist and ended picking it up for $450 delivered . So I went from 1 cub to 4 over the summer and will be giving a couple away to my kids probably in the spring. |

Wow just wow  A 1450 with deck and tiller for $50! Would have been a steal even at $200! Makes the 1450 + deck + tiller I got for $300 a couple years ago look like a rip off :biggrin2:
