Cubs ready for winter so it's Camaro time
I've been trying to get some time in lately to work on my 1970 Camaro. It's been a chore to get the shell rust free. The farther I dig, the more rust I find. The rear of the car is complete now. Been working on the front cowl and door hinge areas. I'm trying to get everything repaired so I can sandblast the shell and get it into epoxy by spring time next year.
This is looking at the door hinges from the firewall side. http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/...psl0rzfgrr.jpg She was alittle rusty. http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/...psb7v4yyi8.jpg http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/...pshmhxnask.jpg http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/...pskvnen6qq.jpg http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/...pscg0ggmla.jpg Got this side fixed. I'm not welding on the outer panel until I get the shell blasted and in epoxy. Now just repeat for the other side. I also have new outer rockers to install. http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/...psikithe7o.jpg |
I hate rust, nice job on the repair.

I'm still working on this 70 Camaro shell. I plan to have the body ready for epoxy by spring time. I installed some DSE mini tubs so I can fit some 335/30ZR18 tires on the back. I'm also installing a DSE Quadralink and a Ford 9".
