Cub Cadet 1541 Trunion wear
1 Attachment(s)
I finally found the trunion on the beast and when shifting forward the trunion still can be manually pushed another 1/2". Will try adjusting the threaded shift rod first as those C-clips look like a nightmare to get at. I noticed that the springs are not centered inside the plate. Is that plate going to require shimming to center it?

I had the same problem with one of mine. I put the butt end of a 2x4 against the edge of the curved, horizontal plate and hit the 2x4 a couple times with a hammer until the springs were centered. Your results may vary. |
Thanks
I ended up buying new springs and end caps for the trunnion and have them installed. Have yet to see how it works because the machine is all over the garage. Thanks
