Gas problem
 

I have a cub cadet 105 that i had to fix the compression release mechanism on. unknowing when i went in to this project all i had to do was take of the cam shaft cover on the kholer 10h. i ended up taking the engine out replacing the head gasket and fixing the CR mechanism.
i now have it put back together and everything is working fine besides my problem.
the tractor has good spark but wont fire im thinking there is a carb problem where its not getting enough gas
i can get it to run a little bit on low throttle but it dies out after 5-10 seconds
trying to diagnose the problem myself i tried spraying small amounts of gas into the air intake without the filter on and it fire every time.
if i take out the spark plug and put gas in the chamber it fires to. the gas line is not pluged either.
i think its one of the jets in the carb but not sure and dont want to mess it up even more by ripping apart the carb.
any ideas?

Take the carb off and disassemble it. Outside of taking it to a mechanic....

I would pull the carb apart and clean it up real good. Carb kits are really cheap and these carbs couldn't be any more simple to work on.

It sounds like clogged passages in the carb. Get a rebuild kit from Kohler and take off the carb. Turn IN each of the adjustment screws and write down the number of turns for each screw.

Disassemble the carb and spray a carb cleaner into all the passages. ( including the longer carb adjustment screw too -- that has tiny holes in it too ) Blow out with compressed air. ( I highly suggest wearing safety glasses too )

Reassemble the carb and use the settings you wrote down for each of the screws.

I also recommend using Star Tron gas treatment and adding a bit of Marvel Mystery Oil to each and every gas can. It really helps with the crap they call gas today.
