Need new carb for QL 1450 – any specific model?
 

UPDATE: I've uploaded pics of the carbs on the 1450 and the 1650. At this point I'd like identify which is which. Thanks...

I was checking out the 1450 I purchased last week and discovered that the air cleaner housing is slightly loose as one of the 3 screws is stripped and not holding. The carb needs to be rebuilt as well and while I could figure out something for the stripped screw - I'm considering just purchasing a new (or new or used) carb with threads intact. I'm wondering what model I might be looking for? I've noticed that there are a couple of carb manufacturers that were used by IH mentioned throughout the forum. Was there a single manufacturer/model used on the QL tractors? If so, what is the make/model? Do they (new) come assembled, or do you have to purchase all the small pieces? Any suggestions on the best place to find either a good condition used, or new one?
