Memorable Christmas

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, tis the season. How about some of your most memorable Christmases. Something that sticks in your mind from days gone by or recent.
One of my most memorable Christmas was back in 1967. We always gathered at my grandparents Christmas eve. There was seven of us grandchildren, three boys and four girls.
Well this year my cousin Wayne got a pedal tractor, and Tim a peddle car, and I got a riding horse:angry: I was so mad, they were riding around the house and I was stuck in the one spot... At the time it was the worst Christmas in my long life of five years. But now wish it could be lived all over again...
Yup, that's me in the back on the horse:biggrin2:

That's a great picture. Nice you still have it, and the memories.

i know how you feel Todd, we'd gather at my grandmothers and id watch my cousins open cool toys and i always got socks or some b.s like that.:bash2: i dont have any Christmas memories that stand out but i remember when i was younger and the family still talked to each other it was always a good time when we all got together, now the best part of Christmas is watching my son open his presents.

We don't get together with anyone from back then anymore either, no one get's along. Others went off their own way, and most of the "older" folks from then are now gone.
I've got a lot of memories from when I was young, most very good. But this one has remained on the top. Nancy (wife) tells me all the time, are you ever going to leave that go and forget about it? NO!:biggrin2:

Zip,
While they were riding there wheeled toys to local destinations, you and you alone, could be riding the wild west, lassoing all the pretty girls, or bad guys, or stray lil doggies.
You could be Hop-a-long Cassidy, Lone Ranger, Roy Rodgers or any one you chose to be, it was unlimited!!
They on the other hand, were limited a sidewalk or the lawn.
It's all about prespective :beerchug:

We had a boing-y horse like that back in the late 60's and a red pedal fire truck. Don't know if the two came around the same time The pedal truck belonged to my oldest brother and I don't know who got the boing-y horse but I remember favoring the pedal car and riding it often. I always thought the pedal car was MINE and it wasn't! :biggrin2:

The boing-y horse got used up, too! I remember bouncing that thing so much to make the whole thing move across the floor! Hold on! :biggrin2:

This one was taken around 1974? We alays went "up north" (Cadillac Michigan) to our cabin, for the Christmas break.

Here is my Dad, on his 1971 Johnson 25hp Skeeter.

Yeah he was kind of a wild man. (and they wonder where I got it from?)

Great idea for a thread Todd, got me looking through old pics.

Thank you.
