Miracle find, not what you think!

So i was moving cars around the other night after the snowstorm. I put my keys to all my cars and my house and my shop on top of my daughter's car, finished the driveway and forgot the key ring.:bash2:. Later that night my daughter left and went out of town to a friends. I then realized my mistake. :bash:. I drove up and down the highway 6 mi back and forth even walked a good portion of it hoping they fell off and i could find them. NO LUCK.
So about an hr ago while leaving to go out to my Birthday dinner my wife asked me if I looked on the car, I dismissed her and said Ya right the way our daughter drives they didn't just stick to the car, Duuuuuu.:BlahBlah:. Well I will never live this down my daughter looked over as we were backing out of the garage and sure enough they had lodged them self in the trunk top.:bigthink:. So nice B'day present but i know I will hear about this for Oh, I don't know till I'm DEAD! !!!!!

Let's see....how does a man recover from this one....

You could say, I just went out and wanted a breath of fresh air and I decided to go for a walk to get some exercise in, so I decided to walk along the highway to see how well the snow removal trucks had done on the roads. I wanted to make sure that travel was safe for my family and especially my daughter. You could be like Bob and Doug MacKenzie and whenever they bring it up just say, "Take off, eh?....I knew where they were all along. I just wanted to see how well my daughter could drive, eh!":biggrin2:

Well, regardless, the end result could not of happened any better....you got your keys!! Hope you have a Happy Birthday and here's to many, many more....:beerchug:

That's pretty amazing! I'm had something very similar happens this year. We went on vacation to myrtle beach at the worst time we could have, but that's a long story. When we left the condo my wife wanted a picture if the front of it, so I took my sunglasses off and sat them on top of the escape. I took the pics got back in and took off. About 2 hrs later I remembered. I figured, their gone blew off the roof never gave it another thought. Drive from myrtle beach to north of Nashville and stopped for the night. Then continued on home the next day. Got home started unloading the car and looked up.... There wedged in the luggage rack were my sunglasses!!! They rode there from myrtle beach to Missouri! I still can't believe it!

I hauled my 982 home on my 18ft trailer. When I pulled in the yard and got out I noticed the grill was missing. My first thought was crap, that's going to be expensive to replace. Walked around to the other side of the trailer and there it was laying on the floor beside a fender. Quite fortunate that day!

You got real lucky, congrats-one time the MIL had lost her purse she had left on the roof of her car. We got a similar purse and put in the same spot and had her drive off, watching where the purse blew off-found hers right nearby. This was out in the sticks where no one was around to make off w/it.

I lost my keys while plowing driveway one last time before taking off for palmbay florida, the ign switch on my old chraftsman was wore out and was not aware of it until I was all done and went to shut it down. I looked all that night to no avail. I had a spare key to almost everything so the next morning we packed up and headed out. About a week later I received a package from one of my neighbors, yep my keys!! He went out and bought a metal detector because he was helping me look for my keys for hours snd it bothered him as much as it did me that we couldnt find them. Was my old mans set of keys that he left me when he died 3 months prior, with the only keys to my gun safe, and tool boxes. All the vehicals had a spare but could not get into shed, safe or tools.
