50" mower deck question
Late this past Summer I was able to obtain a 50" deck for my 1872 tractor. It does a great job of mowing and is in very nice condition at least in the looks department. I want to do some maintenance but don't have a manual for it and my model number is a tad different than what I find just searching Cub Cadet 50" mowing decks.
My Model # is 359 193 50C. What usually shows up in my searches is the 359 190 50C. What is the difference between these two numbers features/parts/age wise? I'd like to buy some new blades for it and find a 'operation and repair' manual for it. I'd sure like to know how others grease the mandrels. When I removed it from the 1872 I greased each mandrel 26 squirts (with intermittent rotation of the blades) and see no evidence of seal leakage but I am concerned about blowing a seal out. My experience with Sears Roper decks (~mid 70's) is that they will take a little more than this before I see any coming from the seals. A friend that has the same CC setup says he gives each mandrel 3 or 4 pumps every third time he mows 2.5 acres. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Steve |
Owners manual is in the tech section on this site. You have a 50C. That's all you need to know. Don't worry about the other numbers.

The correct format for the Factory Code would be: 190-359-100 for the 50C mower deck.
