2185 motor swap.
 

I bought a 2185 for $100 with a bad motor. I was going to rebuild it but the closure plate is damaged where the crankshaft rides. Both rods are also bad and one piston is bad. I also have a 1340 with a 12.5 kohler command that runs good but the rest of the tractor is rough. Will this motor work in my 2185 with out to much hassle? Thank for the help .

It may work but I'd guess you'll need a drive shaft, muffler and some other stuff from something like a 2135.
