Snapper vs. Super
1 Attachment(s)
How does one of these compare to a Super? According to the seller it outweighs my 2072 by 300-400lbs. Never knew Snapper built anything of this caliber. Here is the ad link http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/grd/5422028667.html
Here is a tractordata link http://www.tractordata.com/lawn-trac...-mgt2000h.html Looks like a nice machine, but for that money, I'll just keep a whole fleet of yellow ones:biggrin2: |
looks to be a good bit bigger than a super, appears to be a clean tractor but thats a good chunk of change for a snapper.

It's a Power King. It will blow a Cub Cadet away. Sorry boys.

For that price you could go buy a IH 706 and a super cub!

That tractor there isn't really an SGT. Not like the old Snappers. Looks to me like that one has a stamped frame and is built kind of... "light in the rear".
Now the old Snapper GT's and SGT's, like the 1450/55, 1650/55, 1850/55..... those were some machines! Snapper built the Massey Ferguson GT's too. Same exact machine, just branded different. I'd own one of the old ones. Somewhere along the line, Simplicity bought Snapper. Simplicity is owned by AGCO. Simplicity used to build the Duetz-Allis GT/SGT's. Not sure if that is helpful, or boring. I like old iron.... My girl tells me I have too much useless info floating around in my head. :biggrin2: |
Does look chintzy

Jon, I'm sure my wife would say the same thing! Lol |
One of my neighbors died last year and the kids had an estate sale, the guys son-in-law had his power king parked behind the shed where the sale was and a couple guys came back after dark thinking they were gonna push it to the road and load it into the back of a pick up! I came down the road to see it setting by the side of the road and called the owner. They pushed that thing prob a quarter mile just to find out they didnt have the a$$ to load it up! Must have been someone not knowing what it was or just to stupid to use their heads. Couple days later the guy called me and said they cought the guys. They were all tweeked out from meth or something!

Shotgun Wedding is correct...it is a Power King. That example looks very nice but it is way over priced. Simplicity Mfg. has had many owners over the years. The current owner is Briggs and Stratton!
