Today is the anniversary of the space shuttle Challenger disaster. I remember being in school and watching it on TV live. May they rest in peace

I watched it unfold on TV, a sad day.
God bless them all,
I hope they achieved a much higher "orbit" out of this world.

We were out school that day because of snow and I was at my grandparents house watching it. Sad day.

I was walking through the campus center, junior year in college, it was on TV, wouldn't watch, never have. Just like the twin towers. Wouldn't watch it, still.

RIP to those on the Challenger. Let's not forget the Apollo 1 guys that also lost their lives on the same day.

I was working in supermarket in the dairy dept......... I remember Betty, a meat clerk, come frantically running thru the aisles, arms waving in the air, looking terrified and screaming "the shuttle blew up! The shuttle blew up!". Can't get that sight away from me..... RIP Challenger crew!
