782 spool valve question

I may buy a dual spool valve for my 782 I was told it came off a 782. My question is I don't think the steel hydro lines that are on my machine now will work. What would be the best way to deal with this. The guy with the dual valve does not have the steel lines that went with that valve

If you have a flare tool and a tubing bender you can make new ones pretty easy.

yea guess your right, would those lines even need to be steel could you use another material that would bend easy?

Most people use 3/8" steel brake lines. The max pressure of the Sundstrand Hydro is 600 PSIG.

You also could use a combination of Steel Brake line and hydraulic hoses.:beerchug:

What do you mean by that George?

Or, you could just use hoses if your not into the cutting, flaring and bending thing. Its more expensive but lots quicker and cleaner if your going to do more than $hit on a plate so to speak

You can use Brake line where convenient and hose where you have movement, that would require flexibility.
Steel Line is less expensive than hose and cleaner looking in most places,
and holds up better to usage over time.
A lot of hoses on them old tractors are now leaking.
one thing you will find impossible to do without dies, is tight bends.
easiest thing to get is a good tubing bender or pull the tubing around a ball bat in your vice.
but you are still limited to gentle curves/bends otherwise kinks will happen.
You can use 45* flair tools and it will work, but the hydraulic fittings are 37* flair, and do use them, not pipe fittings of copper furls
The hydro pressures are 6-800#
"Parker" fitting is a search word for fittings on ebay also TSC has a supply of common Hyd. fittings,as well as the usual, Granger mcmaster/carr etc.
