50C deck
 

The 1811 I got last week came with a 50C deck. What are your opinions as to how nice of a yard it mows? To be honest I never liked the way the older decks with the cast-iron nose piece mowed, much preferred the 44 like I have on the 128. I don't want to go fixing this deck up if it is just mediocre quality of cut. I can pick up a 44 from under an 1810 locally for a decent price. Your opinions please.

ive never mowed with a 50" deck but i know a guy that has one on his 1811 and his yard looks great, when hes done it looks like green carpet.

I like my 50" deck..... so do the girls. When they play in the grass after I mow. :biggrin2:



The narrower the deck, the better quality of the cut. Follows the ground better. It's a fact jack. :beerchug:

With my yard a 21" cut works best!:bigthink:

If your yard is flat, the 50c will do a nice job!

Thanks guys, just wanted to make sure they were a good deck before I pursued putting it into service. Got to go over the Cadet with a fine tooth comb first! Probably be late spring before I get to the deck.
