SCORE! 54" Dozer Blade
6 Attachment(s)
Hey all, finally caught a good deal in my back yard. Nightow1 and I drove a whopping half hr to pick up a really nice, all original, complete 54" blade for the average price of a 42". It was more complete than i had planned because the lift cam was included also. Guy had a really nice set of 2 link tire chains that he threw in for an extra 20.00
Its hard enough to find any Cub stuff remotely close, let alone a 54" blade at the price i paid. Guy has an 1864 (which this blade came off of) thats complete & running minus a front wheel and damaged plastic that hes wanting to sell (parts machine)... plus has ANOTHER 1864 in good condition he uses to mow with, that he would also consider selling too. EEEK Im excited! Oh, btw, it will have a hydraulic angle cylinder before long :biggrin2: |
Cool! Those are nice blades. Makes blading your driveway lots easier than with a 42". Only thing is you need some weight behind it! I have one stored with one hyd bracket on it and no lift bracket. I used it one year on my 1200 and it like to killed my arm, definitely want hyd lift! I may break it back out next year and mount it on the 1211. Needs to balast the tires and wheel weights first.

Great find! I've been looking for awhile now those aren't as easy to find out by us. I'm sure if we drive out to PA we would probably trip over them.:biggrin2:

Nice score on the blade!

Excellent the find. And some more 1864's too. Hmmmm.:bigthink:

I really wish I had one of those!!! I lost a trade for a rear IH blade in my area because the guy wanted a 54" blade and not a 42" blade for his 12 hp 125. It would have been a really sweet bargaining token, but that is my loss. I am glad you scored that and had fun "Cub Scouting" with a fellow cubber!

I bought mine 2 years ago at a local farm auction. Just the blade I paid $9.

Congrats on the 54"er!:beerchug:
I got one that sits in the barn I had on my 1650, they do work nice with the hydraulic angle...:bigthink::beerchug: |
Nice blade and for a Cyclops at that.I have 2 of them but none like yours, they give you less seat time though...
