Paint code question

I need to do some paint work on a 1984 red 982. When I look at the paint chart here it only goes up to 1989. Are the correct colors 2150 red and 935 white or did they change?

They only had one red that I know of.

The 982, as did all the red 82 series, used 2150 Red.

Okay, and the white is the 935, correct?

I got a problem. I stopped and picked up some paint today from my local PPG store for the 982. I picked up a quart of black (95021), a quart of red (71310) but the code for the 935 white is no good (91607). He did cross the DuPont code over to an OEM code of WE5708 in the PPG. I'm not sure how close this will match and was checking to see if anyone else ran had this issue? The white & black were $38.60/qt and red was a little more at $49.00/qt. Is that what you guys are paying?

How much of the tractor are you painting? One quart of red won't paint all the sheet metal.

Tim, not much, I need to touch some areas up and do a set of side panels for a 782D.

Todd, I had the 901 mixed up in the Omni for $32 for the first quart, and went back for another and they charged me $28. I think red is always more expensive. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, at least it was years ago. (35)
I am going to get some made up for my 1872 this week, because it's more orange than the federal yellow I used from IH on the original.
Todd, if you were concerned of the paint match you could take something that has good paint on it to the paint dealer and have them scan it to get it to match. That's how I 'm getting the correct yellow...

Thanks Todd. I guess I should have taken something in but I was thinking they could go off of the code. I wonder if I did that now if they could adjust the quart I have if needed. You are correct about the red, he said it was always more than the other colors. If you get some paint this week could you see if your guy says that that code isn't any good. I have a nice 44" deck that the guy took the belt cover off of early and put it in his garage so it is like new that I could take in. Oh well, now I need to get the old turf tires off and the rims cleaned up for primer this weekend.:beerchug:
