New from Mo.

Hi all.

My name is Dave. I'm very happy to have stumbeled on this forum.
I grew up cutting & moving snow with an IH. Cub Model 123. Of course at that time, my dad did the work on the tractor to keep it going.

While I know it is not the same tractor, I found a 1967 model 123 for sale today and brought it home! A piece of my child hood now sits in my garage.
Rebuilt engine, a 42" deck and origional paint in great shape along with the origional owners manual. There are a few minor problems, like the PTO mounted on the front of the engine will not disengage. I followed the owners manual and set the wear button & pressure spring at .016. Still, the PTO stays engaged full time. Any ideas as to where I can find more info on this problem, or how to fix it?

I still have a model 1650 as well that is a real work horse! But if I get the 123working right, my wife wants to use it to help out. Got to like those country girls! She's happy in the garage, or the barn working right along with me.

I'll look forward to getting to know everyone and the equipment they have as we go along.

Thanks for having me!

Hi, Dave. Where at in Missouri are you? I'm near Bonne Terre, which is about 60 miles south of St. Louis. I also have a 123, plus a few more Cubs around the place. Welcome.

We're not too far apart - 120 miles.

On the PTO thing, the pto tension can be adjusted by the turnbuckle on the rod from the lever to the pto assembly. Maybe it needs more adjustment?

Hi Dave;

I am over in Rolla Mo. 100 miles west of St. Louis.
I've got a "64" 100 and a "66" 102, and would like to have a 123.

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome
