Can it be fixed?

My brother contacted me that he pried on the nob, trying to get the NF headlight switch off of his 125 cub cadet....yeah, I wished he had just asked me first on how to take it off, but that neither here nor there. Anyway, the plunger rod broke off in the knob. So, can this be fixed and if so....HOW? superglue? ....that would only make it impossible to remove in the future without breaking it again. Take it apart and fix the rod?

Thanks in advance for considering this problem.

Is there enough of the rod sticking out that you can thread some of what's left and screw the knob back on?

I do not know. Going to call him tonight and find out. Thanks Mark, that may be a very viable option!!

looks like it is time for a new switch,or drill out the knob, and tap the stem on the switch for a screw.

Just replace it. It's just a on/off white knob switch. You can get that about anywhere parts are sold. Look just like the original.
