Crank and cam timing marks

I am having a hard time finding the timing marks . The crank I cannot find s punch mark on any tooth on the gear and the cam seems like the dot is right in the middle of the where if you turn the cam a hair either way it is gonna open valve right away

The mark on the crank is a "dash" near the gear. It's cast into the crank

The cam should have a "dot". Should be in a "valley" of the gear.

you really don't need timing marks to put these together. put your cam in at split overlap then slide the crank in positioned at TDC.
