Hello from West MI. Just got my 1st Cub...
Just bought my first Cub and very excited about it. Here's the short version:
Originally I was intent on grabbing a Case/Ingersoll 16 or 18hp machine but after losing out on (what appeared to be) a good deal, I emailed a guy about a '96 Cub 2086 on CL. I figured it was a bit newer, had more power & was liquid cooled in comparison to the Ingersoll, so why not take a look. I found the 2086 to be an awesome machine with plenty of power. I loaded it up and took it home. It's a very strong runner but will need some attention in some areas--- but what fun would it be if it didn't? I tightened the brakes up, but the steering is still quite loose. I'm gonna need a snow blade for it at some point. I'm thinking I'll build a sleeve hitch with an electric actuator....glad to be on OCC as it seems this will be the place to help with all that stuff. Cheers! |
Welcome to OCC, plenty of reading for you here!
