2100 Series Headlight Lens
 

Can someone explain all the missing or broken headlight lenses on the 2100 series tractors? Seems like most of the ones I see on Craigslist are missing. There are a number of 2135, 2140, 2145 or similar listed in the greater KC and surrounding area right now and except for one they have no lens.

Coincidence? Or is it surprisingly flimsy?

Parts tree lists that particular part for nearly $100.

I've noticed the same thing, i never looked close enough to my neighbors to see how it was held in but i assume its a poor design.

Caused from the inability of individuals to properly lift the hood, (recesses in the hood) and let them slam against the front cowl...

But its all good...since I used that defect many times to get a good transplant motor at a good price...

That and they sit just over the top of the exhaust system. You'll find a lot of them melted. Poor design. :beatdeadhorse:
