CC 2206 13A-298M100 Tractor problem
 

I have a Cub Cadet 2206. It has been running great when all of a sudden it wouldn't go into gear and is making a horrible grinding sound coming from the rear of the engine and there appears to be metal shavings. Any ideas on where to start disassembling?

Can you post some pictures? It sounds like you have a transmission problem but the metal shavings throws me off.

Edit: sounds like it could be the drive shaft coupling.

Sounds like the area in which the noise is coming from. How difficult to replace? Are there any videos available? Thanks for the response! Any help would be appreciated!

Need more info and some pics of the problem area. Kind of sounds like the blue plastic barrels in the drive shaft coupler went south unless you have metal shavings in the transmission oil.
