1650 680 parts swap

hello!
i,m new to this site, I have a cub project that led me here and from what I see
I think i,m in the right place. I have a 1650 with no engine, came with a snow blade,50" mower deck and 36" tiller, the frame is bent and the cub is pretty beat up. I also have an 680 with no engine but is in good shape and I have a vanguard 16hp twin. The goal is to put the hydraulics from the 1650 and the 16hp twin into the 680. It looks like the hydro stuff is almost a bolt in, but the twin might be a little harder. Your ideas and thoughts are greatly appreciated!

thanks!
Dan

You won't be able to use too many of the parts of the hydraulic lift. The ported pump from the 1650 will work, as will the valve body itself, but the control handle, linkage, lift cylinder, rockshaft, and basically everything else will not bolt up. The 82 series used a completely different lift cylinder, rockshaft, and valve handle. You'd be better off selling the lift parts from the 1650 and putting the money towards the right parts from a 782, 1711, 1811, etc.

Thanks guys for all the info, though its not what I wanted to hear.

Tubby; sorry but I'm keeping the attachments,

Murphycc; thanks for the link but i'm not real familiar with all the model #
but it sounds like I need to go to plan B.
I going to take another look at the 1650, all the attachments are for it anyway
it just needs some...work:bash2:. Ill start another thread about the engine.
