Danco Loader piston help.

2 Attachment(s)
Hi,

I picked up a 147 with a Danco loader then moved it to my 125. We got it working but the pistons leaked like no tomorrow. I have sent them out and got all new seals and wipers for them, but i am looking to get new retaining rings. If anyone on here has had any experience rebuilding these and knows where I can get them. Any help is appreciative.

Better off getting a new cylinder.

You say you sent them off? I assume to be rebuilt? Have that place find them.

New retaining rings... Need way more info or a pic of the needed part, or at least the cylinder. Pics of the loader are not helpful at all. I assume this cylinder is the type that uses a locking wire ring that you spin into place?? So not enough information, man.

Local ag tractor or similar dealer / shop should be able to fix ya right up. Ask the mechanics and there's a good chance some are just laying around.

I sent them off to get the seals measured and got them back, here's what the retaning ring looks like

The place you get the seal kits should be able to get that. It's exactly what I thought it was. Hydraulic shop can get them for sure.

Not too many people on here are going to be much help on rebuilding a cylinder. Few have done it.

No, your on your own for finding it online. Some things just can't be gotten online. You really just need to buy a kit to rebuilt that cylinder specifically, and it will come with all the seals and that wire lock. It's really that easy.... but not easy.

Bumping an old thread, sorry in advance.

I have since rebuilt 10 of these pistons, easy to do. 1/8 key stock makes the retaining ring, and I get all seals at a local shop.

So if your reading and need seals send me a message and I can forward all the seal numbers!

I also have a BRAND NEW piston head that we made because we messed one up taking it apart...

So if any questions let me know!
