Cub Cadet 1512 Diesel Starter Question
 

I just bought a 1512 with the Kubota diesel. I was having starter issues and did the gear reduction starter upgrade and now she starts like a champ. My question is because the battery terminal is close to the motor mount I was thinking of putting a circuit breaker on the main battery lead in case of any shorts. Its got good clearance just paranoid of dropping a wrench or bolt and shorting out the system. Not very familiar with this model and don't know if there is some sort of protection already in the system.

The starter needs no protection. You wouldn't be able to put a large enough one in anyway. The rest of the system is protected. Hang on to your wrenches. Disconnect the battery when your working on it.
