eliminating the front PTO?

Guys I have a quick question on a front PTO for a Magnum 20 engine in an 1872, I want to do away with the front PTO and replace it with just a standard pulley for the application I need it for. The tractor has a rear pto, and I need that to work still. If I unplug the front PTO will it kill power to the rear pto as well?
